Teachers Love Smart Boards

On this website called Teachers Love Smart Boards, there are four main parts, notebook lessons, tips and tricks, web resources, and tutorials. The homepage includes a seasonal activity for Thanksgiving. The first activity gives the kids an opportunity to learn word math problems. The home page also includes other resources you can go to for your own smart board. The site also has a sign in area where you can subscribe to blog about this website yourself. Last it gives you this online training session you can sign up for to make your own notebook activities on a smart board, the only thing is it cost 7.48 a month.
On the notebook lessons page it shows thanksgiving activities for the smart board. Most children may have troubles with mathematical problems, so this resource page designed an activity called the Turkey Trot which helps students understand math step by step. The website shows many games like AlphaBot, BigBot Mouth, and Jumble for kids. AlphaBot shows a unique way to engage students how to learn spelling words. BigBot Mouth helps with teaching kids the difference between an antonym and synonym, and Jumble for kids I played it and though it was fun, it helps kids be creative by unscrambling words to find its true spelling, until it finds the last spelling to solve the solution. Teachers that have problems teaching students a word problem well here’s a site called thinking blocks. Thinking blocks is design to help students solve math problems from subtraction, multiplication, divisions, fractions, and ratios. Thinking blocks will help students solve problems step by step, and the teacher or student can pick their own modeling tool. There's more to offer, teachers have to just take time and look through the site. Last there are video tutorial. Video tutorial demonstrates many different parts of teaching. There are counting tutorial, math puzzles, maps and picture spelling.

I love Ed Tech

http://blog.simplek12.com/

This blog on the Teacher Learning Community is interesting because they came up with this idea of having Education camps. This helps teachers explore new ways of teaching. I like this website because it gives teachers and college students who are becoming new teachers an opportunity to come together and give ideas. They can share resourses, learn different programs and collaborate on each other ideas. They also can come in contact with many other teachers from across the world. Meaning, that this website has an online global community that you can create your own teacher profile and when your done you will be automatically connected with teachers around the world sharing new ideas and video chating. Basically the camp they created is excellent because many teachers have goals they want to see met, like, better programs for kids and newer activities. So having this camp gives many an opportunity to come across new ideas and are able to explore what someone else may have used before that they could make better or share what they have.
